The Red Deer Royals Band Council is the democratically elected group that has the following mandates:

To act for the general interests of the band membership.

Where issues develop that impact the band membership as a whole,

the Band Council has the authority to hold a closed band meeting,

and to communicate, as impartial representatives,

resolutions and other information to the Band management or instructional teams.

To act, as impartial voices, for the Band management or instructional teams, where issues develop that need to be communicated to the general band membership

To act for individual band members where requested.

To represent the Royals at public functions when called upon.

To represent the band membership at Red Deer Royals, and Red Deer Community Band Society Meetings.

To act for the general social interests of the band.

The Band Council raises its funding through sales of confectionary items at practices.
