2005-2006 was been a busy one. Highlights

Performing at the September 1 celebration of Alberta's
Centennial in Red Deer

Band performance at the 'Lest We Forget' musical tribute
to the Veterans

Band performance at the Red Deer Remembrance Day Ceremony
• Band,
RED Winter Guard and RED Drumline performances at the
Red Deer Festival of the Trees
• Marching
in the Red Deer Santa Claus Parade
• Concert
Band performance at the Red Deer Kiwanis Carol Fest
• Performance
before the Edmonton Oilers game and watching the game
after (Oilers won!)

Forty Royals instrumentalists played (Suite No.
1 in E flat for Winds by Gustav Holst) with the Red Deer
Symphony at the Symphony's March 18, For the Birds

Successful performances in Calgary and Edmonton for
RED Winterguard
•
RED Drumline performance in Calgary
•
Performing at the Annual Red Deer Community Band Society
Spring Concert
•
Performing at the Red Deer Music Festival and receiving
the top possible mark ( Superior Band Rating)
•
Hosting the Festival of Champions at which Marching
Bands,
Drumlines
and
Winterguards
performed
•
Parades: Lacombe Anti-Drug , Caroline Rodeo Parade,
Rocky Mountain House, Sylvan Lake, Blackfalds,
Sundre, Innisfail and Daines Rodeo as well as
the Red Deer Westerner and Edmonton's Capitol

Placed first in the Ponoka Parade!

Performed our field show "Quidam"at Music 'n
Motion hosted by the Bands of Calgary. Other
bands performing were the Calgary Round-Up
Band, Calgary Stetsons, Calgary Stampede ShowBand,
Spirit of Alberta, Bishop Grandin Marching
Ghosts, A Band of Outriders and the HMCS Tecumseh

Performed our show music at the Red Deer MS
SuperCities Walk, then played our parade music
as we led the walkers on their walk
• Performed
at the Federated Women's Institute Convention
•
Toured through Australia entertaining thousands
of appreciative people in Sydney, Newcastle,
Canberra and Brisbane.
•
While in Australia stayed with, played with and enjoyed our
friends the Marching Koalas in Newcastle, the Namadji Redbacks
in Quenbayen(Canberra suburb) and the John Paul College Golden
Eagles near Brisbane
