THE RED DEER ROYALS 1999-2000 SEASON

Highlights of our 1999-2000 season:

• Mayor Gail Surkan signed a proclamation for Red Deer Royals Week. She said" The Red Deer Royals are an asset in attracting positive attention to our Central Alberta communities, locally, nationally and internationally. The City of Red Deer is extremely proud of these young ambassadors"

• billeting members of the Selesian Show Band from Thailand and the Palm Desert Marching Aztecs of California

• a productive band camp weekend at James River Camp

• hosting the Festival of Champions May 5 & 6, 2000

• participating in Music in Motion, Calgary Stampede and the Royal Bank competition in Red Deer

• receiving a Silver Award at the World Show Band Championship 2000, in Calgary

• we super-surprised Mr. Barry Valleau at his retirement party in Olds
