Very important for new parents to attend. This is your chance to get to know what goes on at the Royals with a fair of information that you can peruse and seek answers at your own pace. All returning families are welcome to attend as well.
Drum Major Camp, St. Joseph High School, Kinsmen Fieldhouse
Saturday, September 21 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Arrive 15 minutes early to warm-up.
*For anyone interested in seeing what being on the Drum Major team is all about, 1:00-3:00 is an open-house style format.

The 30th Annual Band Family “Welcome and Awards” Potluck Dinner, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m., Festival
Hall. For all new members and families of this year’s band and all members and families of the 2023-24
season.
Each family is asked to bring a main course for ten people and either a salad or dessert. You will need
to bring your own plate, cup, and cutlery. This is a semi-dress up occasion for band members!
6:00 p.m. set-up; 6:30 dinner; 7:15 presentations; 8:15 program; 9:30 event ends
New members and families, please be sure to attend. It’s a great way to join the Royals family.

Annual Fall Band Camp at Camp Caroline for all members. We load the buses at St. Joseph High
School at 4:00 and depart at 4:30 on Friday. We return to St. Joseph High School at 3:00 p.m. on
Sunday. More information will come in a separate handout in a couple of weeks. The cost to each
member is included in membership fees and chaperones are free. Membership fees are due by
Wednesday, September 25.
Percussion & Colourguard Camps, St. Joseph High School, Kinsmen Fieldhouse
Saturday, October 19 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Arrive 15 minutes early to warm-up.
These camps are for the Colourguard and Percussion members to begin work on the 2024/2025
Winterguard Shows.
“Lest We Forget” performance, St. Joseph High School, Kinsmen Fieldhouse
**Rehearsal 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM.**
Concert is 2:00 - 4:30
This just involves concert band & concert percussion.
At 10:30 AM – I will need volunteers to help set the chairs and move percussion.
At 1:00 PM – I will need volunteers to be stage hands for the concert.
Both of these are volunteering ‘for the good of the band’.
Tickets will be pre-sold through the Legion, and at the door for $10. This is a very highly
recommended performance for family members. It’s always a very moving and meaningful show!!
Members of the Drumline and Colour Guard are encouraged to attend as audience members.
Remembrance Day Ceremonies, Servus Arena. Concert winds only (no percussion or guard)
9:45 AM warm-up, 10:20 start, 11:30 dismissal. (Social at DQ afterwards!)
This event is on-ice - wear same-colour layers under your concert uniform to stay warm.
